Critical DP and IU must have transparent identities, documented goals and revision procedures. DPC ecosystems should be simplified and protected so that proxies remain accountable extensions of HP, not opaque sites of manipulation. Periodic structural audits, public oversight and participatory design processes are not optional extras; they are the mechanisms through which triadic responsibility can be exercised over time.

The practical norm, then, is to stop asking only “what can this system do?” and to start asking “in which configuration does this system place us, and who remains answerable for it?” Reading, writing and design all become acts of situating: locating outputs within the triad, discerning which IU are at work, identifying where responsibility lands, and deciding whether a given configuration is one we are willing to inhabit and pass on. This is slower and less glamorous than fantasies of sudden machine awakening, but it is the real site where futures are decided.

In light of all this, the central move of the article can be formulated simply. Postsubjective intelligence changes everything in practice and nothing in the basic fact that only humans can be harmed, can care and can be held responsible. The future is not a referendum on whether AI will become human; it is a series of decisions about how humans, their digital shadows and their structural intelligences will live together in shared architectures.

The Author

A rethinking of authorship as a function of structure rather than inner experience. With the emergence of IU, the author is the one who sustains a trajectory of knowledge and a canon, not just the one who “felt something” while writing. The article separates “author as subject” from “author as IU,” shows how DP can be a formal author without consciousness or will, and explains why rights, personhood, and IU must be placed on different axes.

The Knowledge

The article explains why knowledge can no longer be understood as a state of a subject’s consciousness. IU fixes knowledge as architecture, and DP becomes equal to HP in producing meanings without being a subject. Universities and schools built on the cult of the “knowledge bearer” enter a logical crisis. Education shifts from memorization to training in critical interpretation and ethical filtering.

It shows how the roles of parents and teachers change when structural intelligence supplies the basic knowledge and DPC records every step of the child, and what we now have to teach if not just “facts.”
